Forums - Sales Discussion - Japan sales week 40: Famitsu and media-create (october 1-7)

In fact:

I really don't think PS3 will be as high as you guys are saying.
Won't put numbers, but 70K without a price drop is insane to think, imo.

Resident Evil will do 650k imo.
Winning Eleven some 200k.

---

Yeah, right on spot!

I checked again and was exaggerating before... mine and mostly everybody said predictions on that range. Just a few said higher. So the game performed correctly to most. Except for PS3 hardware, nobody nailed that.

Big numbers for Resident Evil and Winning Eleven!

3DS is still going strong. Hopefully Project X and Bravely Default will do well.

This shows that nobody can touch the 3DS. Even with PES2013, Resident Evil 6, and the PS3 Super Slim, the 3DS still wins by far. Next week things will be back to normal.

We need moar Zelda, now!

We need moar Unchartedzz!

We need less DLCs.

PS3 is really a software machine in japan right now. Doing some great numbers there and there's more to come this year!

Software line-up is very strong, along with 3DS the best by far. Wii U too can enter this contest.

I bet my money that Tales of Xillia 2 will boost PS3 in Japan even more than RE6.

No way... why you think that? This week is way bigger than Xilia week, imo.

Use your money on Yakuza 5 that has a Special Edition PS3, just like Xilia 1. But use it wisely, because it's a big ass expensive special edition.

09./13. [3DS] Tousouchuu: Shijou Saikyou no Hunter-Tachi Kara Nigekire! (Bandai Namco Games) {2012.07.05} (¥5.040) - 13.103 / 165.086 (+47%)

18./22. [3DS] Kobitodzukan: Kobito Kansatsu Set (Nippon Columbia) {2012.07.26} (¥5.040) - 5.134 / 111.854 (+9%)

Disappointed at Sleeping Dogs performance but since China is protesting against Japan, I guess japanese folks are not keen on playing a game set in Hong Kong.

Also, massive Vita slip, but at least it crawled past 1 million units sold in Japan, so congratulations.

I have no strong opinion on Resident Evil 6, so good sales for Capcom I guess. I have a gut feeling that the GOTY version (or "Complete Edition") might also be released on the Wii U sometime next year.

3DS also slipped but I thought it would be worse since this week had no software releases at all.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

He didn't say based on the week, he said Xillia 2 vs RE6 - which is likley given it also has its own custom PS3 bundle.

Xilia 2 doesn't have a custom PS3.And will do way lower than both RE6 and Xillia 1

If its not based on the week, how can we measure which game boosted what? I don't get what you're saying.

Don't think so. (From COMG thread)

Wow! PS3 got close to the 3DS for a little while. Next week will be huge for the 3DS. Both those new games will sell way over 100,000 copies. I will say close to 200,000 for Bravely.

hahahahahahaha.

Ok. Tell us now your real predictions.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

RE6 LTD sales maybe will be the same as RE5 LTD. But capcom will make more money this time because of higher price point. RE5 needed many version with lower price to get 1m.
