lol, I just think its kinda funny that after Gates was saying the 360 will be the most reliable console, a 360 in a Best Buy store gets the RRoD. I won't blame the hardware entirely here, though, because apparently there was no ventilation, and the 360 manuel says it “'should be placed in a well ventilated area.'”

A demo Kiosk isn't the best place to demonstrate failure. Hell, almost anything in a kiosk with the use (Often not gentle, ever see a demo DS?) will break much sooner than commercial.

Of course, on the other hand, every minute, a RROD happens and a derranged Sony or Nintendo fan gets a stiffy.

See Ya George.

"He did not die - He passed Away"

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.

lol, ive seen a 360 console with rrod at my local.....best buy, walmart and target, but they switched them out though so its all good

lol thats funny it RRoD'ed on display! Oh crap i just bought a 360...hope it doesn't happen to me!

This is bordering on trolling and is definitely flamebait.

I've also see malfunctioning PS3s in demo kiosks (heat+enclosed plastic case+constant use=failure for almost any electronic product).

This thread is pointless.

From that product-reviews page:

"PLAYSTATION 3 is the most reliable console on earth i can let it on for a week. If you leave your Xb0x 360 for a couple hours it will blow up like a bomb. Xbox 360 has a massive failure rate. Xbox 360 can’t never match the PS3 perfection… Sony.”like.no.other”"

..

And I thought we had some bad fanboys here.....

Yeah I tried a DS at some store and the touch screen didn't work, obviously customers won't be careful with the systems.

I have yet to actually find a working DS in a store. But then again, I don't look very hard because I already own one.

Yea, the PS3 at my Rogers wouldn't respond, but I wasn't sure if it was because cables wern't connected.

That being said, my PS3 has been running on for over a month now without problems, so I think stores are a bad example.

 @rocketpig

I didn't mean to start a flame war, I just kinda thought it was funny, and I posted it before really thinking about it, but like I said...

I wasn't saying the 360 is a bad piece of hardware, and though we have yet to see if the new consoles solve the problem, I would imagine the failure rate will drop dramatically. I actually haven't seen any dead consoles on display at any of my local electronics store. I just thought it was a funny coincidence is all.
