Forums - Gaming Discussion - RIM, Windows Mobile and Symbian marketshare are looking worse according to Nielsen

Ok fine you all can believe that the carriers are just being mean or whatever or just aren't hip bc they don't like msft. Lol

But hey, I've got something for the mass of f-boys that invaded this thread. Comscore recently released a marketshare update and msft looks like it has lost about 40% of what it did have in America.....

The chart explains as follows:

Nov 11
Google 46.9%

Apple 28.7%
RIM 16.6%
MSFT 5.2%
Symbian 1.5 %

Feb 12
Google 50.1%
Apple 30.2%
RIM 13.4%
MSFT 3.9%
Symbian 1.5%

Dude, you're just not very bright. That's your rebuttal? You flat-out make shit up and then come back with marketshare percentage as a retort and call me a fanboy, despite my owning an Android phone?

It's not hard to do the research and find out how much carriers don't get paid for app sales. Come on, give it a go. It's fun. The cool kids call it "learning".

Next step, Android expansion on PCs and progressive marginalization of Windows in general. Nokia's renewed commitment to Symbian, recently chosen for its most outstanding smartphone, the 808 PureView, could give Windows Phone the coup de grâce.

You can argue about how mean the carriers are all day (and there has been a bit of this insinuation in this thread),  but in the end; the numbers are the only thing that matters.

Numbers really don't matter at all to most of us...

I'll keep using iOS and Windows phone if their marketshare goes up or down. I don't own google, apple or Microsoft stock nor do I work for them...

The only point of interest in this thread for me at this point is how you were wrong with everything you said about carriers and then when we completely destroyed your arguments with actual facts you started pointing to Comscore numbers to change the topic.

Nobody said they were mean (just self-interested) and nobody would ever think they were hip. Reasons were stated in the thread why the carriers don't much care for Windows phone and some were generally agreed upon... they just weren't any of the reasons you provided.
