I am surprised Nintendo don't sue Sony for keep copying their ideas...

There have been plenty of arcade-style racing games with karts out there, so this isn't the first. While the similarities between Mario Kart and ModNation are obvious and common, there are enough differences (besides the whole modding thing) between them to make a big difference.

i hope it's true because atm Little Big Planet is Sony's most important property, for me

would be interesting to expand on it

About 3 years too late Sony, we already have Modnation Racers and the LBP brandname is cooling off.

I glad no one was foresight to avoid writing "isn't that just Modnation"......every other post has been plagued with those comments -_-.

I think whatever team is developing it, they would have learned from the mistakes of MN, which means don't expect long loading times. And as much as it will be about customisation, people will need to see brilliant kart and track designs already in the package. Hopefully the majority of sony IP's (in Sack form) with be in the game from the get go, as opposed to DLC or relying on others to make them. Interesting and well considered power ups is also a must!

I agree that there should be official forms of Sony's major franchises/IPs straight out of the box, instead of relying on DLC or the modding community to create them (I still think the community will offer their own versions of Sony's characters, though, even if they are included).

From my understanding, ModNation for PS3 was developed by United Front Games, who is now working on the "True Crime: Hong Kong" game for Square. The Vita version of ModNation is being handled by SCE San Diego, so I don't know if UFG is big enough to handle two games at once.

I was thinking of some ways for something like LBKarting to utilize the ModNation engine and expand upon it. It could have regular racing like it has now, but it could also include a top-down (think Micro Machines) engine, too.

I love LBP, so I'd definitely give this a chance with name alone :P

i'm going to be really disappointed if united front really is making this as that means it is just MNR reskinned and that load times are going to be horrible. no thank you.

i thought Sony San Diego made it, it says so at the start of the game.

Co-developed between the two studios. Like Demon's Souls Co-developed by From Software and SONY Japan. Or Warhawk Co-Developed by Santa Monica and Incognito.

Maybe this'll pick up where Blur left off?
