Forums - Sony Discussion - LittleBigPlanet Karting Leaked

From my understanding, ModNation for PS3 was developed by United Front Games, who is now working on the "True Crime: Hong Kong" game for Square. The Vita version of ModNation is being handled by SCE San Diego, so I don't know if UFG is big enough to handle two games at once.

I was thinking of some ways for something like LBKarting to utilize the ModNation engine and expand upon it. It could have regular racing like it has now, but it could also include a top-down (think Micro Machines) engine, too.

I love LBP, so I'd definitely give this a chance with name alone :P

i'm going to be really disappointed if united front really is making this as that means it is just MNR reskinned and that load times are going to be horrible. no thank you.

i thought Sony San Diego made it, it says so at the start of the game.

Co-developed between the two studios. Like Demon's Souls Co-developed by From Software and SONY Japan. Or Warhawk Co-Developed by Santa Monica and Incognito.

Maybe this'll pick up where Blur left off?

Aww man. Got excited thinking MM would develop it. Not that Modnations wasn't good, but by developing this game, United Front are essentially implying Modnations is a failed IP and need the LBP brand power.

Wacky mascot based karting games only has one king and we all know its Mario Kart.

Sure this game has potential to reach like 2 million lifetime sales...but thats nothing to be impressed about.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

sounds great to me, imo modnation was a great game and i'd like to see how a full blown racing game derived from lbp will be

I hope it isn't United Front games making this! Did not like the driving mechanics in MNR. Anyway, I'm looking forward to hearing more info about it.
