Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Rumor--Suikoden VI for Wii

Suikoden on the Wiii? That would be... surprising.

I mean, i bet a lot of Suikoden fans just bought a PS3 because they thought it would be on it. Or assumed anyway.

I mean, that'd be quite cold to switch systems without sales of one of the games being disappointing first.

I still haven't gotten through 4 yet and it was my first one. (Yeah i know it's the worst, but as far as i know it's the first chronologically from my research, so i kinda wanna play from start of history to end. Plus honestly tracking down Suikoden 1 and 2 are going to be expensive.)

Suikoden is published by Konami, right? If this rumor is true, then it would mean Sony losing one of the few third parties still undyingly loyal to them.

Also: Just play 3 and 5. Despite what hard-core series fans might say, the PS2 incarnations (minus 4, which kind of sucks) are basically just like the PS1 incarnations, except with prettier graphics. Plus, you'll save a boatload of money by doing so.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

More stubborn and clueless than loyal.

Loved all the games even 4 for you haters. I will buy this game but hearing it maybe coming to the wii makes me even happier.

I always wanted to play Suikoden but wanted to start from the beginning with 1 & 2. Of course both games are impossible to find now and ridiculously expensive when you do find them, and the PSP ports never came to America so I may have to find 'other means' of playing them.

This is, however, a perfect excuse to pick up 3-5 since I see them in stores daily for relatively reasonable prices, even if VI doesn't come to the Wii.

There were PSP ports?  Huh, my frined just has a PS1 emulator on his PSP.

He once showed me where i could get an emulator and the ISO's but ehh... just not my style.

They ported the first two games in one package.

Japan only though.

Go figure. I mean I like Suikoden 4 too... hence why i want to finish it before i play 3 and 5.

The only problem is the sailing takes forever and i keep sailing from island to island not knowing what i have to do next.

Well that and I like to level up every character i have up to an even level...

Well and the tile game is extremely fun and addicting, and instead of playing the game every time i turn it on i end up spending a couple hours playing that tile game.

Wow..that's quite some megaton if true

Yeah, though to be fair, Sony atleast did offer them quite the cash incentive to do such. I really can't name a good Final Fantasy they've made since that switch anyway, so for me it was a bit of a "Curse of the Bambino" type move.

People tell me 9 was good. The rest have seen mediocre at best however.  All just my opinion of course.

It was weird too, with my PS1 not liking any of the square RPGs, since i liked every SNES RPG they put out.
