My friend is out of town this week  and I asked him if I could use his kinect for my lil brother while he was gone. He said it was okay.....So here my lil bro was all excited and as I tried to connecting it, I realised the damn thing has a different plug and cant connect into my 360!! I have the white  60 gb console by the way

You need the adapter that came with Kinect to plug into older 360s.

Yeah, I got a 250gb 360 w/ Kinect early this year.  I use the Kinect with my old 60GB 360, though.  I felt the same way that you did.  It's like this:  If you buy a stand alone Kinect, you get the AC adapter.  That way, it works on any system, new or old.  If you get Kinect in a bundle, it doesn't come with the adapter because the newer 360 powers the device on its own.

Yeah, it sucks if you use the Kinect that comes with a 360 on an older system because you have to buy the adapter seperately but in the end, it makes sense.  Most people that buy a Kinect bundle will only use the device with that one console.  Microsoft probably saves a ton of money and resources by not packing in a piece of equipment that 90% of the customers won't use.

You're gonna have to buy an adapter for about $20 OR borrow your friend's 360s.  Sorry.
