Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

what is a plastation anyway??

I realized I spelled it wrong like 5 minutes after I posted, and I couldn't find out how to fix it haha

I think that's what it is. Since PS1 and PS2 were such major successes (took a couple years to get to that status btw) people expected Sony to magically have all super blockbuster titles within its' first year, so they forget that it takes TIME to make said titles. That's why KZ2, MGS4, GOW3, etc haven't all released yet.

Honestly, it really is all about preference. I think the PS3 DOES have games, that's why I bought it. I would get a 360, but #1 Friends have it, so I can play and #2 Outside of racing, FPS, and sports, the 360 doesn't offer much. Sure you can pick and choose titles, but they're probably months apart from each other. And also, I know Sony has Insomniac and Naughty Dog, and I've enjoyed their work since the days of Spyro and Crash Bandicoot. That, along with new IPs is why I think the whole "PS3 has no games" stuff should stop. I hate how everyone can be subjective about the PS3, yet when something negative is said about the Wii, then "OMG FANBOIZ!!!"

The way I see it, people aren't comparing apples to apples, but rather to oranges. I don't think the Wii is selling off its' library, but rather how it appeals to many with its' innovative control system and low price point (2 positive things that only equal success), whereas people are buying the PS3 because either brand loyalty, or they've realized that it IS a safe purchase because the library is good enough. But when comparing the numbers and seeing the Wii near 20 million and the PS3 under 9, they get the feeling that the Wii's library is vastly greater in terms of quality, when actually, I don't think its' library is its' selling point right now.

Basically, they are translating what really is "Wii sells great because of innovative controls and appeal (wider audience) and PS3 sells lower because it targets gamers specifically (lower audience)" to mean "PS3 sells low cause it has no games, Wii sells high because its' games are the greatest" and we all know this is not the scenario.

I wish people wouldn't allow their personal preference to belittle the other games. As I've said in other posts, I admit I'm a Sony fan, but I see the disadvantages AS WELL AS the advantages of the other consoles. It may just be that the high price point, which set off a chain of bad press and PR, just pissed people off, and they've remained upset for so long, they don't realize that things have changed since January 2007

Currently playing:

Unreal Tournament 3, Warhawk, Rock Band, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy XII, DMC2, then 3, and Radiata Stories

it depends on what you like i guess, like mario....go for the wii....like ratchet and clank go for ps3....its really just that simple

The PS3 already has a very good lineup.Thats all I will say.

Time and time again I read that the PS3 has the best variety and that the 360 is typecast as the ‘shooter’ platform.

I don’t understand how this is justified. Whilst it’s true that a lot of the great 360 exclusives and ‘must-have’ titles belong to the FPS genre, but should you taint Gears, Bioshock and Halo with the same brush, you’re not doing the vastly different gameplay much justice.

Can we call Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Warhawk and Resistance the same because similarly you go around and shoot things?
