Baalzamon (AKA "lc3rav3n") and I have been kicking around the idea of getting the people who frequent both VGChartz and League of Legends into one of the new ranked teams.  I think it may be time the rubber met the road on this idea.  I don't believe such a team already exists. 

The only thing stopping me is the name.  Should we go for something completely original like "Team VGChartz"?  Or something different, like "The Z Fighters" or "Team Cockpuncher" or whatever?

Well, count me in. I'm elo isn't very high right now (1355) since I mostly play normals but I can play a mean Ezreal/shen. Really the only champs I can't play is support.

Yay! They are removing dodge from League of Legends.

I like their justifications, although I find it quite humorous they say it just isn't fair to escape based on luck like that. While I do agree that this isn't fair, it is slightly hypocritical.

Yes, critical strikes can be countered with armor, but how is it any more fair that somebody with 25% crit will just randomly get 4 critical strikes on you in a row, and kill you because of it.

They say that randomly getting a dodge doesn't require any specific skill. How does randomly getting a critical strike require any more skill than getting a random dodge?

It doesn't, in my opinion. I know, removing crits would destroy a lot of attack champions, but I'm just saying their point is slightly hypocritical.

I stopped playing lately but I might start again once uni is done so I'll keep an eye on this thread!

Well, dodge is worse because you COMPLETELY evade damage. Crit increases damage dramatically but it's not the same kind of thing as someone not getting hit whatsoever.

It also was kind of weird to have a mechanic that only protects against autoattacks, not abilities -- even physical-damage abilities.

I used Dodge runes because they work better with Poppy's passive than armor, but I will gladly trade that for removing Jax's bullshit. I just hope they don't replace it with worse bullshit. (Jax-in-the-boxes )

(Poppy's passive works like so: if she receives damage exceeding 10% of her CURRENT health, the damage above 10% is reduced by half. E.g. 100 damage, having 200 health, would be 20 + .5x80 = 60 damage. But 100 damage, having 900 health, would be 90 + .5x10 = 95 damage.

(So if I'm taking autoattacks with armor runes, then the damage will be less, but the damage mitigation is also less. Whereas if I have dodge runes instead of armor runes, I'll take more damage on most autoattacks (with a little more passive damage reduction), but avoid damage entirely on some autoattacks, therefore getting the most benefit out of both passive and runes.)

I also used them on Leona because she's already going to have ridiculous armor, so why not get a little dodge?
