By this time in the week, I'm used to having my Japanese software and hardware as well as American software.  Damn New Years Day screwing everything up.  It's not even that great of a holiday.

If anyone of consequence is reading this, when can we expect these figures?  I've bitten my nails down to the cuticle in anticipation!



My End of 2008 Hardware Predictions (console only):

Wii : 50 million

360: 28 million

PS3: 24 million

These predictions were made on January 3rd and won't be revised

Nothing significant happened as far as software releases, so it should be very similar to last week.

We need to start tracking daily sales per region



 

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Maybe they should just switch to nexgenwars counter system which constantly and arbitrarily increases the sales by nonsensical increments. XD

Please no, not a counter.

Weekly data is the best way to do it.... Just hold out Cringer, have a look at old numbers, do a bit of analysis, that's what I do.

I now buy games solely to boost their VG Chartz ranking rather than based on merit, fun or fanboyism.
