It wasn't just that Nintendo would have to share the rights to their IP's, it was also that SONY wanted a ridiculous percentage of software sales. I'm sure it was even more than those two factors. Who knows what happens behind closed doors. I think I remember Nintendo trying to sue SONY over the name "Playstation," too. What a mess.



My End of 2008 Hardware Predictions (console only):

Wii : 50 million

360: 28 million

PS3: 24 million

These predictions were made on January 3rd and won't be revised

As far as i know, wasn't the original name of the console going to be called SNES CD?

That was for the attachment. They were also working on a stand-alone console called the Playstation.

Arghh, damn that does get annoying, it would actually be a decent catch phrase if they didn't constantly push the exCCCUUUUUUse me part of it. the exaggeration... everytime... it makes my ears bleed... even back when I watched it as a kid.

Games I want: (Wii)Mario Kart, Okami, Bully, Conduit,  No More Heroes 2 (GC) Eternal Darkness, Killer7, (PS2) Ico, God of War1&2, Legacy of Kain: SR2&Defiance


My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.
