Maybe BenVTrigger can give you some idea about PS3 sales. He´s a manager at Gamestop.

I know it isn't the all encompassing thing to look at, but the sales rank for each ps3 model went up quite considerably for amazon sales rank.

Well by the looks of it the online sales of ps3 have shown a big improvement stores seem to be hit and miss in the UK my local shops are telling 2 different stories the Game hasn't shown much improvement where as Gamestation has said there sales have picked up quite abit but they have been advertising the price cut.

Sony has been advertising it on Pandora and YouTube, Their tag line for the ads goes now starting at $249. I believe it may have even mentioned the Infamous 2 bundle and larger HDD bundle for $299 as well.

I just noticed that there was only one left at Wal-Mart today but hardly indicative of anything.

Its seen a pretty steady rise in sales with us at Gamestop. Its certainly not seeing anywhere near the level the 3DS pushed hardware with its price cut but for sure a rise I would estimate it at maybe around 33% more or so with us.

The thing is only a $50 cut can only pursuade so many people. It certainly wasn't a bad move by any means and hardware has risen but you're not going to see anywhere near what say 3DS has done with its cut rising by 300%+
