Criterion working on Vita game with 'Interoperation' with the PS3

A new job posting discovered today suggests that the role – of a Software Engineer – will be responsible for “optimising and tuning the game resource system for the PS VITA” and “interfacing the game engine with several parts of the VITA OS.”

Interestingly, the role also indicates some kind of cross-platform play. “Implementing interoperation between PS3 and the VITA” is also listed as a responsibility.

well I mean the last one wasn't too bad..they should have at leased teased Soul Sacrifice tho.

Anywho great news :) Sony is definitely trying hard to support vita

Let's be honest, it was pretty bad. They led people to expect a conference or at least something on par with Nintendo Direct only to dump a bunch of videos on YouTube and call it a day. The production values were incredibly poor, and content wise, there was precious little: an announcement of a late port of PSO2, a vague confirmation about a Super Robot Wars title, and Inafune talking about his game without talking about his game at all. There's a reason fans were in such an uproar, and there's a reason that Sony promised to do better in the future. I hope they do.

Yeah I agree that they didn't do anything to control the hype level surrounding the event. At the time JP gamers were craving something huge and they didn't deliver. They should have been honest up front and said hey..this is a series of pre recorded videos introducing games and will have plenty of these events in the near future or something. I guess I personally liked it :D Three new IPs were teased and all of them sounded interesting..but yea hopefully this one will have at least 'one' well known game

@Sal: Sweet...moar games...MOAAAAR

Good news for P4G!
http://andriasang.com/con11k/p4_golden_orders/

PlayStation Vita may have its biggest software release yet with Persona 4 The Golden. We've been hearing reports from a few retailers of strong pre-orders for the game. Now one major retailer is making an even bolder claim.

Taketo Matsuo, merchandizer at Tsutaya, which runs 500 game shops throughout Japan, says in his periodic column for Mantan Web that customer pre-orders for The Golden have already more than doubled pre-orders for the PS2 version of Persona 3.

Matsuo expects strong Vita showing in June's top 10. Here's his predictions for June's top sellers:

1. Pokemon Black 2 (DS)
2. Pokemon White 2 (DS)
3. Dragon Quest Monsters Terry's Wonderland 3D (3DS)
4. Persona 4 The Golden (Vita)
5. Dragon's Dogma (PS3)
6. Tokyo Jungle (PS3)
7. Gundam Seed Battle Destiny (Vita)
8. Kenka Bancho Bros. Tokyo Battle Royal (PSP)
9. Metal Gear Solid HD Edition (Vita)
10. Culdcept (3DS)
In addition to these major releases, Vita will see its Crystal White color variation on June 28.

Bold predictions indeed^^

That's insane considering the size of the Vita install base, people really want this game. I wonder if it could ever cross Persona 4s pre-orders? Seems unlikely but who the hell knows, Japan's market is crazy.

It really is. Last time I checked Amazon Japan, Tokyo Jungle was the #2 game with a month still to go before its release.

Fantastic news indeed. And I agree with you that this mighty impressive given the user base as of now in Japan. It just shows it's a matter of bringing out few big japan centric games for vita to pick up speed

Gravity rush don't push vita sale .PSVita need a mix of original game and big franchise.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Of course, assuming it does come out here. I think I was the only person in the world who was excited about this game when it was first announced.

SCEJ makes such awesomely quirky games. I really hope they're serious about increasing its output.
