Forums - Sony Discussion - New God of War title to be revealed by Sony?

Forbes may just have let the cat out of the bag on a big Sony exclusive tonight, a new God of War title.

According to an article on the site the writer was able to get hands-on time with most of Sony’s big games before E3 2011.

Interestingly he says that Sony’s press conference will announce some additional titles, including “a new God of War 3D adventure.”

There are no other details on this, but we are pretty sure that this is one title Sony wouldn’t have wanted mentioned. The prospect of playing God of War in 3D is a good one though, let’s just hope it’s true.

While the God of War franchise is one of my favorites, is this really such a good ideea? I mean, didn't the story pretty much end with the 3rd one? (NOTE: I do not own a PS3, and I have not played God of War III yet, but I assumed that in the 3rd one he wiped out every god in Olympus, thus ending Kratos' saga).

God of War should definitely not continue with Kratos, should be the beginning of a new story with a new..more dimensional character

Hey, don't you pick on Kratos! He's had a tough life.

You made Kratos cry...

Please send Kratos to the egyptian gods or norse mythology. Id jizz all over the floor.

Or have Zeus be alive or something. With Olympus gone, im sure there are still SOME gods that are alive :P. Fuck do I know, maybe Athena was alive in the end or something I DONT KNOW BUT MAKE IT HAPPEN SANTA MONICA. You have a HUGE background story, there are so many possibilities, just think! I WANT TO BE KRATOS AGAIN, I LOVE HIM. His olympus story has ended, but his god slaying.. NOT SO MUCH ;D.

If you watched the ending of God of War III, you know it's not the end of Kratos. Maybe the end of the Olympian gods, but not fo Kratos. For all we know, he could go after older greek gods, or Titans.

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

No the story is not over.

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

After Kratos kills himself and the credits roll, you see a cutscene in which there is a trail of blood leading away from the Blade of Olympus which means he moved away from the spot he was at, and apparently survived.

A new god of war would totally rock in my opinion, might even sell me a system.

Hopefully. It always takes a couple of years from announcement to a release so it's time to show it now.

There will be no God of War 4 ever. I will just re-play GoW3 and never forget Kratos
