Surely the wii has more than 6 games released in 2011? I thought the console usually gets a ton of shovelware & casual games...

Also, when compared to the 360/ps3 list, you can see just how much the industy has abandoned the console.

Abandoned? Hardly. Ignoring? Prolly.

Same effect though...

I play Japanese games too and it's been a ballin' year so far lol.

Ouch...

Hopefully things pick up later in the year, at this rate, they need to...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

oops wrong thread lol

Id love to have a good Wii-board game right now.  Wiji anyone? lol jk

No for real. a nice polished monkey ballz Wii board game  is what i crave!!!!

Even with this drought Wii is selling on par with PS3 and X-box  >.<   So the system looks like its doing really good hardware wise.

Well, I got my five year's worth out of the console so I'm happy.  Still, I noticed the light was off on the front of my Wii a few days ago.  Turns out, the adapter isn't even plugged into the back of the console.  I didn't even bother to plug it back in.  The last game I bought was No More Heroes 2 and Mario 25th Anniversary (gift).  I've barely played either.

In my house, the Wii is like an old bed-ridden uncle.  I remember the great times Nintendo gave me as a kid but right now, it's just sitting there as a reminder of what used to be.  It's sad, really.  I'm gonna smother it with a pillow.

I don't care, Nintendo made CASH in the last 5 years. Aslong as its clear that they're always capable of doing this, the third parties are shit.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

This seems like a really strange attitude.  You don't care that there is a drought of software (from anyone, including Nintendo) for at least the first half of the year as long as Nintendo made a lot of money?
