I don't really see the problem, here. If company A snatches an employee from company B... that means that company B will now be looking for a new employee. Eventually, the risk of employing the unemployed (at first, short-term unemployed and moving on to long term as more and more jobs are created) will be outweighed by the cost of stealing employeed workers.

I really hope, for everyone's sake, that this isn't a blanket rule. If someone got laid off of Intel, they would probably be better than any employe at any shitty chip maker's company.

When you go for an interview, it is mostly fake as the job does not exist, they just do this as PR exercises and so the other works don’t complain when they can’t get their kids in to work there.

An employer only want to hear certain words, everything else is static noise, these words are “I will do anything you tell me for whatever money you will pay” and “I will works extra hours for free and take no holidays and also work on weekends and nights” and “I love to work 16 hours a day for the price of 4 hours a day”
