The best one would be The Godfather Part II, it is on par with the first movie and its pretty much one of the best movies ever made along with the original. Other great sequels are The Silence Of The Lambs (if you consider Manhunter as a prequel even when it didnt have any of the actors featured on the sequel), Terminator 2, Aliens, The Empire Strikes Back and The Dark Knight.
