They should remove the 5 point or 10 or 100 point system to an simple 3 point system.
1 = bad
2 = average
3 = good
Then explain the reason its group in each in the article. That means if you are unable to understand if the writer is suggesting the game is bad, average or good then an simple number system can solve that issue.
Why this on that the current system. first off the is broken with majority of games being rated 7-10 and anything below an 8 is considered bad. Now you have numbers 1-7 being considered by the auidence as an bad game leaving 2 numbers to equal good. Now thats whats broken. What happened to 5 being average not 7 and anything below 5 being bad and above it being good.
So you might as well take the 3 used numbers (7, 8 and 9) since the other numbers are rarely used because when the developers are undecided and dont think its an worthy 8 or 9 they give it an 7 or an 6 if they are the mean ones. But if they go with the flow on this game is bad would they use the lower numbers but an game has to be pretty bad to get those numbers.
So an simple 1 2 or 3 would solve all the problems associated with given an score without removing the score everyone loves.
But i rather say no score at all but its better than having these stupid things like publishers saying anything lower than an 7 is an disaster and site advertisiers rigging scores or bias reviewers giving more affect. I also believe that most gamers even read reviews anymore and simple look at the score.
Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong
