Forums - Sony Discussion - Who wants a free $20 PSN card? (No strings, legit, but I need help)

*disclaimer: you all know me, i'm not a robber. i don't need to be for a lousy $20 :P*

*edit: does anyone know how to share a game?

I bought a $20 PSN card and tried to add the funds. This isn't the first time I've done this so I knew the steps (and I'm not an idiot). I bought FF7, FF8, FF9, RE2, Suikoden, and Castlevania already previously. I put in the codes, and I'm able to get to the next screen where it says "there's $20 on this card, do you want to add these funds to your wallet? Yes/No". I click yes, and then the strange message appears:

"The funds could not be added to your wallet"

I can't understand. The system obviously recognizes that the card is authentic, because it acknowledged the amount in the card. Why is it not accepting? Anyway I've contacted Sony and they're asking me to provide a whole load of information and fax all that stuff to them... All that work isn't worth the $20 since they're probably just going to give a runaround. I don't believe that it's my problem anyway. I bought the card from a legit source where I bought the same things from before and this is the first time I've had a problem.

Anyway, long story short: I've been trying to add the funds for three days and it keeps giving me that message. Now, I figure this might be because It's a US PSN card. I'm using a US account but I'm in the Philippines now. Maybe Sony is now restricting buying stuff from other countries even with the same kind of account.

I'm willing to give this card (the code) away to someone here and test if it works. If it does, then you can keep the funds for yourself and at least it didn't go to waste. I have a favor I want to ask though. The only reason I bought that card was to buy Xenogears on PSN. If you get the card to work for your PSN, perhaps you can buy the game (only $10) and share it with me...

Well anyway.. that's my situation. I really want to play it. Any takers? Kind souls willing?

I'd be willing to help, how would we share the game?

i am here to help.

did i ever tell you, ur really cool, and probably the best poster here.

i have always thought that, and this thread has nothing to do with me saying this

What can I do?

erm... i don't know how to share a game either. can anyone detail that too? (before i give it out to someone, i'll just randomly draw from pieces of paper from whoever wants it)

To share games you have to share accounts. For example I give you my account info, you log in, download the games you want and now they're on your PS3.

Well I think to share, you have to log into the account that has the game and download it from the store. Unless there is another way that I'm not sure about.

Just open a new account, buy the game with that account, and give the details of the account to the person you want to share the game with, then delete it from your PS3 (of course these steps should be done by the person who wants the card :) ). I want to help you, but I don't have acces to my PS3 for a few days.

ahh... then it's like this:

1. i give  you the PSN card details.

2. you make an account and add the PSN card value to that, and buy the game.

3. you share the account details to me so I can then download the game too.

4. the rest of the money is yours.

good? ok anyway, anyone who wants to help just post, i'll pick randomly (maybe with a calculator) who gets it. thanks fellas :)

Add me if you like. PSN ID: DaBuddahN, even if you decide to give the 20 to someone else, add me so we can play games and stuff, I need more active people on my friends list. :3
