 Your right. Look at the Preorders of SMG in Japan, when the game came out, it underperformed. Of course US sales made up for Japan's first week sales.

I find it laughable that folks get upset over comment for inanimate objects. I enjoy my 360 and Wii and could care less about comments directed toward my systems. Deal with it - and I don't need HDMI, wifi and a Blu Ray player to play games. I just need GAMES to play games.

Proof is in the pudding. I can predict the 360 version will dominate the PS3 version.

Because comments like yours can start flame wars and derail topics.

You like your 360 and Wii? Good, maybe you should go play them.

Ok ... let's settle this - I'll bet anyone use of my sig for theirs that if GTA IV launches as scheduled (March-April 2008), by Fall 2008, the 360 version will be outselling the PS3 version by 2 to 1.

Any takers?

I saw the same thing on Amazon. It made me wonder if 360 owners even care about Playstation games. Just like how I own a ps3 and I do not care about getting Halo, Forza, or Mass Effect, I think 360 owners might not care about Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto, or Metal Gear Solid. I guess we will see when DMC and GTA come out.

Pretty weak bet from 360fanboy. The biggest market for GTA is US there 360 is leading with 3 vs 1 when GTA releases it will probably be 4 vs 1. Or are you one of them that think PS3 will take over 360 sales in EU march 2008?

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far
