i am a girl. *checks* yep i am. LOL
Apparently over the years things have gone from "OMG A GIRL ON THE INTERNET" to girls on the internet being perceived as a mythical creature, like a unicorn.

No there are plenty of girls on the internet. Just not on forums talking about video games, especially one that deals with the economical statistics of it.
Sites like MySpace, Facebook, anime sites, and other social sites/things girls like sites, are probably full of them. I mean hell there are more girls in the world, why would the internet be different. But just like the real world has to be a place that an appeal would be greater. I mean you don't go searching fish in a desert.
I reject that theory and pose a new one. girls are actually quite frequent on the internet, but only a mere 10% actually disclose their gender truthfully, for every guy that actually pretends in earnest to be a girl on the internet, there is another girl online somewhere that simply doesn't ever make mention of the fact that she is a woman.

I've been mistaken for a woman many many times online.
Apparently Fuzzmosis is gender neutral enough, and mostly I refrain from the internet penis measuring contests that make up about 47.5% of all written work on the internet, so I'm on that weird side of being a guy who doesn't want to be mistaken for a girl, yet is.
Also, there are no female mudders etc... The internet used to be a boys club (BBS for porn!) but it's slowly changing, and as a part of the patriarchy, I am offended!
See Ya George.

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.
I guess most girls are too busy playing their video games instead of posting on video game forums to try and quell fears of their favorite console failing in the future... Oh wait... Oh... I made myself sad.
