Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wii motion control is not what it is cracked up to be!

Maybe ending the title with a Question mark as well as an exclamation mark would of made more sense.
Once you get used to how Wii Boxing works, it's actually pretty reliable, not perfect but it makes the game very fun and it feels rewarding when you knock someone out and you know it's by timing and skill and not just luck.

"..just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake"

i agree with you on those points even when me and my friends go to the arcades some inculde motion controls some feel good but nothing like wiis, and light gun games they werent accurate RE:UC felt so much better and precise then those games

Wii boxing is actually excellent, I playec it a while but didn't get used to it and thought it just wasn't registering my punches... I went back to it later and something eventually just clicked. There is no lag and i can perform all the different punches easily now.

Golf i will agree on, as if you swing, then immediately swing again it seems to get caught up and lags behind your own swings, luckily golf is a slow game in real life, there is no need to swing like a madman. All, you have to do is smoothly lift back before you swing to strike, there is no lag this way.

I agree with your tittle but that's it.
Try playing wii boxing and you'll see what I mean, playing it feels like the simulation of boxing with drunks, lag FTW!!!

wii boxing is probably the worst from the wii sports games, but i still loved it,and also it looks like wii fit boxing will turn out to be very good

^@endurance... serioudly Wii boxing works, it just takes longer to get used to.

I still can't figure out Wii boxing. Even in the training. No matter what I do, I just keep hitting that poor trainer in the face!

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Well that is a tough one because you can aim punches by either leaning or by puching in a different direction... I usually hit him 6 or 7 times in a session.

I'll take wii golf as the worst one. While I enjoyed playing wii tennis and baseball, golf was easily the worst with incredibly bad response.

First off Wii Sports was one of the release console games so of course it is going to have shitty controle. If you look at games now like Mario Galexy,Metroid Prime, Medal of honor Hero 2 ect... You can see what the controles are suppost to be!!!

I DO! I lean! I aim! I take a cab to the next town over! And I just keep punching him in the face! Different fists, different swings! Why the hell does that guy keep training me! I'm about to hospitalize him!
