I certainly never said it was doomed. I was just saying that the situation in Japan is incredibly ironic. And to a lesser degree expressing my disbelief at it being down YOY with a price cut. Obviously it's pulling amazing numbers, just not as amazing as before.

i was thinking like 700k for 360 this week in americas. i heard kinect sold 700k in americas. there was shortages last week. and theres a 75 dollar thing at walmart.

Its very difficult for me to imagine a situation where any of the existing hw in Japan will be up in Japan in 2011. Wii / PS3 price cuts would help for a quarter, and then do nothing without big titles. X360 & PS2 are basically done in Japan. DS will be down with 3DS, PSP will be down without a 360k week in Dec 2011, as well as against PSP2 and 3DS.
