I agree with Firebringer =D, but he failed to remember that people bought the 360 regardless of all it's short comings.

A next gen machine that wasn't internet capable out the box, couldn't display in HD out of the box, to get it on the internet you needed to buy a proprietary dongle that would run your $100 extra dollars oh and $60 games =P.

The guys who baught 360 did so despite knowing that it could or actually would RROD on you to which you've probably lost a system and a game and that for the first two or three years Microsoft refused to acknowledge this issue.

People baught it despite all the issues that plauged the machine.

But firebringer hit the nail on the head, games... are the games our enough to warrent the purchases. If his speculation is true then nope =P.


I'm not sure what system you're talking about, because when I brought my xbox home I had it displaying in HD and logged into live that same day, without having purchased any extra equipment...


The first couple of years for the Xbox360 didnt come with Wi-fi. While Ps3 and even Wii did. Alas I won't argue facts like an opinion go do the research on your own time.

Holy wow, okay I should probably rewrite the original post to say Wi-Fi right out of the box.  Wow so sad, and nice cat5 picture it reminds me of every steriotypical tentacle farm picture I see with Xbox360's.

Notice how later I said Wi-Fi, that was my clarification it's either you need to work on your arguements or just leave the topic alone if your going to get petty.

I dont think anyone can deny these numbers are excellent, as a PS3 fan i'm actully very pleased Kinect is doing this well and i hope it sells consoles for microsoft. i think this will work out very, very well for sony tbh!! this is my personal belief, no one get upset!

Exactly!! But why is this good?? Yes microsoft have made over a billion in revenue, yes they've sold many consoles. but why is kinect good for 360 userbase.

now that that kinect has been a success and it will sell many more units, microsoft HAVE to develop for it. they're  going to keep making these dance/sports games. is this what 360 fans really want?? imo kinect is excellent for the PS3, because now microsoft have to support kinect, they will continously be assoicated with the casual userbase, they will spend their first party resources on kinect - leaving the PS3 as the key hardcore system.

my point is that kinect might sell millions, it might make billions, but it dosent matter because the PS3 dosent rely on the casual market, as of now the 360 does, and it has to spend resources to provide for that casual market, the PS3 dosent.

what happens if the userbase for kinect is so large that microsoft has to cater to there needs before those of the core gamer? (all my personal opinion, no one get upset!!!)

I highly doubt that Kinect will sell such large quantities where it comes to the stage where MS will put the casual market before the core, I also highly doubt that it will sell on the scale of the Wii, but then again it's just my opinion, call it a feeling.
