Top 5 gadgets for Christmas are:

1)   Apple iPad
2)   Apple iPhone 4
3)   Kindle
4)   TomTom Sat Navigation
5)   Sony PlayStation Move

The hotly anticipated Kinect failed to make the list at all, suggesting that despite numerous previews Microsoft's controller free gaming is yet to win over consumers, with only one in twenty (5%) hoping to find one in their Christmas stocking this year.

Surprising results considering Kinect is the most wished for video game item on both Amazon.com and is the top video game hardware on Toys R' Us hottest toys list.  I figured the UK would have similar demand for Kinect but maybe not?

I do think though that word of mouth is going to have a major snowball effect with Kinect.

Are you talking about this list:

Because Move is ahead of Kinect there. Regardless, I think both WM -Move- and Eyetoy -Kinect- suck balls.

It was higher until it sold out.

Just going by what the website shows.

Cannot be real.

Who in their right mind would want an Ipad over an iphone?

And maybe everyone who wanted a Kinect had one (of those polled?)

Ok you guys this is actually really annoying. Neither the kinect nor move have a great game so honestly the kinect/move sales argument is like saying "our side has more brand loyalty" It is stupid.

This is coming from a ps360 fan.

Possible. Even with popularity of 360 in UK average room size in most UK houses is small and that alone could dampen overall demand once you get past those who are already enamoured of 360 brand.  Playstation brand probably remains stronger for families in UK vs Xbox as well.

But... at this point only Move would have word of mouth behind it due to the earlier launch, so I'm going to wait and see how these polls look once Kinect has been selling for a week or two.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

True.. It could be like the PS3 and Wii before they launched.  There were probably a lot more people saying they would buy a PS3 and then the Wii came out and just snowballed.

its foolish to even bring amazon and toy r us list in here.they represent small amount

And "VoucherCodes.co.uk" is totally legit.  Blows those other two no-name sites out of the water right?  Their top 5 smokes all others, apparently.

Looks to ME, like these are the top 5 gadgets people are looking to cut corners to get these holidays is all.I almost lol'd when people actually took this list as a benchmark for the potential trend across the world, or even the UK for that matter.  What a waste of statistics.

I ALREADY SAID IT THEY BOTH WERE foolish

but just saying that a profuct is at top of amazon doesn't mean anything and it doesn't declare then other thing wrong in any way

looks to me like you are one hell of a scenario maker

Great for TomTom
