I am unconvinced that the Wii couldn't be somewhat competitive with a mouse and keyboard with the right control scheme. I don't think any out there keeps up with it yet (RE4 being the closest that I have played) but I see some potential. You just need to be able to recreate the ability to reset the mouse position, and possibly track movement off screen a bit better. It might not match it exactly, but I think you could put up a fight.
