Okamiden is my most anticipated DS game at the moment and one of the last big 3rd party developments for DS (the very last big one will most probably Level-5's Ni no Kuni).

BTW:
I did not only love the original game but also its wonderful soundtrack (composed by Masami Ueda, Hiroshi Yamaguchi, Rei Kondoh, Akari Groves, JUN) and imported the beautiful 5 CD-Box from Japan.
Music seems to have been mostly recycled for Okamiden (at least that's what I get from the 2nd video posted in the OP), but that doesn't really matter in this case as the DS game seems to be a typical more-of-the-same sequel anyway.

Sadly not a lot of people seem te be interested in the game, judging from the amount of posts in here... :/ Ah well!

I read that famitsu quote some time ago on 1up, ( http://www.1up.com/news/japan-review-check-dead-rising ) then a while later it was put on Wikipedia as well, so that's where I got it from.

It's definitely my most anticipated DS game, too. And I can't wait for Ni no Kuni, either, I just hope that gets released in the West... Love the soundtrack too, I downloaded it as I couldn't find it on CD anywhere, and I listen to it on my iPod regularly, lol.

I'm glad to see the game did reasonably well in Japan, so far. First 2 weeks or so were great, although it dropped of steeply after that. But I'm sure it's already profitable. Now if only they'd give us a Western release date!

Why people are ignoring such a beautiful game???... Well their bad... I really liked the wii version actually is almost on the top of my fav wii games, and so this game probably will be close if not on the top of my fav Ds games...

People ignored the original Okami, even though it was a masterpiece. If Okamiden is at least half as good as Okami, I'll love it. It looks beautiful and seems to keep the light yet epic tone of the first game. I haven't been Day One excited about a DS game in long time, but March 15th can't come quick enough!
