@ ShadowSnake: thanks for the input, the GotY edition is the only version I would consider for this type of game personally, just so I can feel like I have gotten the full game. There does sound like there is a lot content especially side content with random events etc which is always good. 

@ ZenfoldorVGI: do you think so? Is it that good? If so why? And bonus question what would be your runner up?

@haxxiy: I know right I thought more people liked that game, I guess they all just forgot about it, my main concern with the game is how good a port it is. I will probably pick it up eventually probably during a steam sale. The other factor involving Darksiders is I will probably have to finally get a 360 controller as i think it's probably one of those games that plays better on a controller TBH.


Well, Fallout 3 is my favorite game of all time. However, I'm slightly biased. So, I believe that at the very least it is better than my runner up for best game this gen, The Orange Box. Other amazing games of note are Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, Bioshock, Tales of Vesperia, Modern Warfare, Super Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Gears of War, Demon's Souls, Persona 4, Heavy Rain, The World Ends With You, and Valkyria Chronicles.


The orange box? what a cop-out that contains Hal-life 2 (and eps) portal and Team fortress 2 lol, that would be like me saying the Valve pack on steam...

Why are you biased BTW? you didn't work on it/know someone who did, did you? Because that would surely push me to buying it lol.

P.S. God damn 3 MMO whores, I'm starting to think people hate me...

BTW whoever is voting for an MMO could you pleas post which one and why? people I know seem to think because I am a PC gamer I must spend all my time playing MMOs so maybe you can convince me that one of them is worth my time.

I'm biased for the game, and I don't know why. I loved it before it came out, lol. I just like its style. I give it a 10/10.

Anyway, The Orange Box is not a copout. Any of those games alone could stand as a top game this generation(and HL2 is still the best FPS, portal the best puzzler). If those games were seperate, one of them might be my runner up. Combined, that is the best game this generation, and possible all time....that is, it would be, if no for Fallout 3 which kicks its ass all day.

Fallout 3 showed me the power of WRPGs, but there is so much game there your  definitly gonna get sidetracked, Ive had since xmas and I havent even gotten to the DLC yet

That's not really bias that's just liking the game...

but it's a collection not one game...

@Lurker but obsidian games are so buggy lol, and that would be more expensive and have less content than the GotY edition...

Fallout 3 I'd say. One of my favorite games this gen.

be prepared to sink a lot of time into it though, even without DLC. the original ending is a bit poo imo but that's quickly remedied by virtue of getting the DLC in the GOTY edition.

It is riddled with bugs (like every Bethsoft WRPG lol) so patch it to the latest version asap.

Should hype you up for New Vegas if you're not already.

I hear VATS in F:NV allows for special attacks when attacking with melee weapons like golf clubs :)
