I'm surprised the 360 is so comparable to the PS3 considering it came out in the summer (which doesn't sell nearly as much as the last quarter of the year) and no price drop.

Exactly my thoughs.
I mean looking at the data, the PS3 Slim model sold as well as the 360 Slim model, if you ignore that first week due to lack of stock of 360 Slims on week 1. Thats amazing considering the PS3 already did a Slim model for the same price (so that should have taken potential buyers, and made a second slim effect less shocking), there was no price drop, and it was done during a dry period in sales. I am excited to see how the 360 fares this fall, and I would love to see this graph extended to March for the PS3 and January for the 360.
