Forums - General Discussion - I like my university life.

I started university last week here in Puerto Rico and i love it, i met a lot of people, the professors are great, i dont have to wear a damn uniform like i did in my entire life since kindergarden, the bad thing is buying books, i spent 400$ on books. I am studying accounting.

I miss college.  Best years of my life so far.  Enjoy it while you can!

Yeah college its great. Today was my second day, and in every class everyone was quiet. Also my teachers seem very approachable and comprehensive.

Just wait till someone at a random private party asks you to have sex with right after saying "Hi, nice to meet you!"

That's the epitome of university life.

Precious advice: Study every day for 30 minutes at least. It's almost effortless and makes big difference. Won't make you a top student, but will avoid failing at exams.

At first, books will rape you of your money, until you realize you can buy extremely cheap older editions used or, for most classes, you won't actually ever need your book, and you can just as easily check one out from the library or just not use it at all. Half of my teachers I had in university gave such complete lectures and notes that the books were entirely unecessary.

College is great, I really missed it in the couple of years I worked after graduating.

In fact missed it enough to switch my work hours to almost entirely consulting/when-needed and go for another degree.
