He never said it was Wii exclusive ;)

He also never said that it was not either. To further your point, has there ever been a timed exclusive Dragon Quest/Warrior game?
If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

He doesn't have to, same as he didn't have to for DQIX.

Even FFXIII wasn't the first FF game to do that, as XI was on both the PC and PS2.

DQ1-2 were fan ported to MSX, PC88 and X68000 within a year or two of their Famicom debuts. That's as close as it ever got.

If I recall, Dragon Quest is HUGE in Japan and pretty much guarantees a system's success. |
Kind of the reverse actually... Dragon Quest only comes to systems that are already huge. It's more the reward for their already established success.
Dragon Quest X could become the best selling 3rd party exclusive on home consoles this generation, which makes it quite ironic that the Wii managed to secure it due to the dire nature of the Wii's usual 3rd party support
very good news, hopefully will see something about the game before the end of this year.
