Rome in GT5: 18-Megapixel Screenshots, Gameplay Videos
Gran Turismo 5 Screenshots Videos June 23rd, 2010 by Jordan

  • Lamborghini Gallardo LP-560-4 (Interior view w/ working reverse lights)
  • Subaru WRX-STi WRC Car (Full Lap Replay)
  • “Bumper Cam” Gameplay (Unknown Car)
  • Just as we took a closer look at the new Top Gear Test Track revealed in the E3 2010 demo, it’s now time to move on and see what the updated Rome circuit has to offer. Here’s a collection of stunning 18-megapixel screenshots (they make great desktop wallpaper!) and plenty of gameplay videos (thanks for your help, SrRd RacinG). If you find any clips I’ve left out, please share the link in the comments below.

For a trip down memory lane, here’s an excellent lap of the old Rome circuit in Gran Turismo 3with a TOM’s Castrol Supra, driven by our own Hugo Boss.

Nice to see some input from those who have been to those places

I've seen quite some positive info in GTplanet as well. Now we just need to see a more detailed Madrid track as well

I know It's only for the next 6 hours though

GT tracks look very life-like indeed, I hope all the new tracks have the same level of fidelity.

One of these Hi-res pics will be my new PS3 wallpaper : D

Can't wait for GT5, it's pretty much the only big thing/genre/franchise from old PS days that I've been waiting for. Others I'd like to see again might be Baldur's Gate from PS2 or Onimusha. But GT is tops!

    Oh god, not this again.

Take a look at the first video. And then find me a racer with a better amount of detail on the trees (on consoles).

For crying out loud, that excuse is pathetic enough already.

They already have different shapes, volumes and geometry.

If you're expectations are to get real-life trees, buy a gardening game.

i see that they focused all the graphics on the cars and ignored everything else.

    Note: thats my opinion.

Are we watching the same videos or are you ignoring every other detail other than the cars?

What about the lightning, track detail, localization fidelity?

It might be your opinion, but you're not making a very logical one.
