I gave it a 1.  Anybody that thinks their casual games were amazing has been brainwashed by Ninyendo's success this gen into forgetting what real gaming is about.

I would have given it higher if they had spent much more of their show talking about core games because the ones they did show looked really good.  But, they only talked about them for about 15 minutes whereas they talked about the casual stuff for seemingly forever in comparison.

Not talking about upcoming games for XBLA was another big failure.  They should have at least shown a montage of them.  And they should have cut the Voice Chat ESPN portion of their program from the 15 minutes it had to 5 minutes in order to do so.

Also, they should have shown Child of Eden that Ubisoft showed at their conference.  That looked like it was 1000 times better than any casual game MS had and Child of Eden looked like it has potential to actually do somerthing fun with Kinect and to be it's Geometry Wars.

XBOX since 2001 has supposed to have been the console for hardcore gamers and I really think they did those gamers a disservice at their 2010 E3 Press Conference.  Surely, they could have shown XCOM, Fallout:  New Vegas and other big core games during their show instead of spending an hour talking about Kinetc pablum.

It's an xbox presentation.  They're suppossed to show epic action and the furthest reaches that core gaming can take at this point in time not Skittles and dance and jungle gym games.

Around the Network

I gave it a 2.

Some of the trailers in the beginning were mildly interesting.

The Kinect stuff went on for too long (especially the fitness games part), and there were no surprises in terms of unexpected Kinect games... it was all the cookie cutter party, sports, dance and fitness games. It makes it really hard to care, since I already have enough party, sports and fitness games on the Wii.

To sum up this conference didn't make me care more for the upcoming controller games, and it made me care less for Natal than I used to (despite my expectations already being low for Natal).

I gave it a 3 because I thought they were only so so.  I liked the beginning of the show with halo reach, fable 3, mgsr, gears of war 3 etc but I felt like they talked too much about kinect afterwards.  I thought the purpose of the show they had the night before was to cover kinect so they wouldn't have to spend much time on it in the e3 conference.

2 and I was considering 1 for a moment

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

1, kinect was horrible, no interesting games for kinect

plus, I hated when that guy clearly showed Call of duty as a 360 exclusive, can't remember what he said but something like this:

xbox is the only console where you can play all 3 of the biggest games in the industry: halo, gears of war and call of duty
