well uncharted, littlebigplanet, and resistance were all new IPs so im not sure if they fall in the triple A category. But either way the PS3 price of $500/$600 was also affecting it quite a bit.

I think the one thing we can all agree on is this is not going to cause the 360 to sell less.

o'l no doubt but i for one think it will have good benefit's to it's sale's now..esp. if there is a price drop.

There's no denying we'll see big boosts. Even if only existing X360 owners buy the new Slim model, that's still a X360 console sold so we'll see boosts.

But having said that imo, we won't see it selling like hotcakes like the Wii. Price is a big factor of course but you've also gotta consider the games. If people are gonna buy the consoles for motion controls, why should they buy a Kinect X360 with 10 games at launch when the Wii is cheaper and has a much broader library of games? This means that if Kinect succeeds, it means it'll succeed on the long run and won't be like "BOOM!" successful with Kinects flying off the shelves.

Not exactly, unless they drop the price to maybe 99 bucks.

I'd say it all depends on the pricing. If the 360 slim is 299 and with natal costing another 100, then that's still too expensive for most people. PS3 still has the blu-ray advantage too.

But if the 360 slim natal combo is 299 altogether in line with the ps3 slim, then, knowing all the resources MS puts into marketing, it'll fly off the shelve and put sony in a dangerous position. They'll have to cut the ps3's price and take another loss or lost market share. 

You only believe that it will fly off shelves because M$ said it would fly off shelves (with no evidence supporting that statement). And M$ only said it'd fly off shelves because they are cocky.

a sells spike is  going to happen. theres no way around that, but will it eclipse PS3 sells? lets wait and see.
