GOTY for sure, And this is why Nintendo is King, Because of Mario Hes even bigger than mickey mouse now, Sega, Rare and all other companies who make platformers should take notes, THIS IS HOW you make a platformer, and it all comes from the great mind of shigeru, Pure genious.

If anything this underlines gaming journalist mentality of "bigger, better, more badass". I mean, I loved SMG, but it's uncomparable how much more time I put into NSMBW. And I haven't played 2D Marios in ages, never liked them that much to be honest (well, except adorable SMW2).

I am pumped to play this! I'm gonna have a Mario marathon when this game comes out, between playing through this game into the wee hours of the night, plus I still need to finish off Galaxy 1 and get most of the secret stages in NSMB Wii.

You think it's just Nintendo fans that complain about GTA IV reviews? Anyway, SMG 2 probably deserves the score.

Holy Shit!! No doubt it deserves the score seeing as it has improved on everything the original did, is far more expansive in scope and the original got a 9.7.

I really wasn't planning on getting this. I still won't... right away. I'm going to have to go back and finish Galaxy first. After another several dozen hours of Monster Hunter beforehand, though. I'll probably end up getting this in six or seven months... when it's $50 still :)

GTA4 was a HIGHLY overrated game, but to be fair, so was Galaxy. NSMB Wii is the far better game in all asepcts but graphics, yet it got worse reviews than Galaxy.
