Forums - General Discussion - NK Sinks SK Ship; Says Retaliation = War

stof -

You said a day ago that things weren't too serious. Have things changed? I read that NK broke off all diplomatic ties with SK.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Mr. Stick, I'll answer that tomorrow when I have more time.

in the mean time, NK has responded by cutting off all communications and expelling workers from the joint industrial park.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

The world is boring... WW III will be nice as long as I don't die...

Even if this becomes a full-scale war, it'd hardly be WW3.

It may start a chain reaction in other places, though, to capitalize on what is going on. I'd imagine that Iran will join in and attack Israel (or vice-versa). Even then, it'd hardly be to the scale of WW1 or WW2.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Assuming a swift end to any conflict is possible, a part of me wishes war would break out. The reconstruction and move to capitalism of North Korea due to finally ending the DPRK regime and unifying with South Korea would greatly benefit both the Korean and global economies, plus it would rid us of yet another tyrannical regime and world bully.

That is the way I feel.

Although the war would be incredibly bloody, a capitalist, SK-like regime through a unified Korea would be a beastly Asian nation - it would be a major competitor and buffer nation to Chinese and Japanese interests.

Not to mention that it'd end the worst, most fanatical regimes in the world.

After watching the YouTube videos on tourism in North Korea, one can only hope that the people get freed from the absurdity that is North Korea.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Assassinate Kim Jong Il(assuming he isn't death yet, as he has look-alikes).

Destroy the country from within is the smartest thing to do. Just like Germany ended the east front with Russia during WW I because they supported the Bolsheviks and even transported them safely from Switzerland to Russia. Support whatever revolutionary groups exist or stand up after the turmoil and make them dependent of you. If there are different groups with different ideologies support them all and when the conflict is over you support the group that's closest to your interest and back-stab all the others. North Korea won't nuke it's own country so there wouldn't be any danger of a nuclear war.

As long as North-Korea doesn't drag any allies in the conflict. But then again, do they even have allies? PRC probably won't support them as they only care for economic growth. North Korea is totally useless for the PRC.

Ominous.

In even more abusrd news:

North Korea has deployed BD-21 rocket artillery to defend its territory...against China!

It seems that NK is now worried that their allies in Beijing are fed up with their BS, and may attack them. That, or they are ready to attack their own civilians with rockets.

I don't think it would be hard to pursuade China to become an ally of the US/EU/South Korea and an enemy of North Korea when a war would break out. What advantage has China from North Korea as an ally? None. What advantage has China from the US/EU/UN/South Korea as an ally? A lot.
