Slim, Reach, Pricecut and Natal will keep it going for another 4 years? I dont play halo, i dont like motion controllers (hence why i dont own a wii) and if the new slim/pricecut isnt anything extraordinary.. i wont buy another xbox. Is this what the next couple of 4 years is going to bring us? Makes me a sad panda.

Well since you also own a pc and a ps3 are you concerned about the next 4 years on those platforms? If not what do you believe is going to keep the pc and ps3 going over the next 4 years?

PC - Competitive play, and thats it basicly. I got my fair share of games i play so the PC will last forever. And since its not only a game platform, it cant really die. Its not like we have different PC generations where a company releases a new PC in 10 year cycles.
PS3 - Better first party support thats given us alot of new IPs in these 3 years, many of which still have sequals to be released. Blu Ray will keep on taking market share so it will have its uses for a long time. I know i might get some shit for this, but i still feel theres power left in the PS3, aswell as its only in its 3rd-4th year. Its selling power atm, and lastly GT5 :D

PC-So you like the pc for competitive play that's fine but you have to be concerned about the stricter drm that some companies are implementing. Also most developers don't optimize games for the pc now they just do quick console to pc ports like that copy of mass effect 2 for the pc that you own.
PS3- You mention it's selling power atm but the 360 is older and it's the only current console to show growth year after year. You say there is still power left in the PS3 but you ignore the fact that there is still power left in the 360 look at the improvement from mass effect 1 to 2, halo 3 to reach etc. The 360 also created firebird studios which is dedicated to finding ways to push the visuals of future 360 titles.
Also what kind of games do you like? You say that the ps3 has given us a lot of new ips but people have shown that they prefer multiplat games compared to most of sonys first party titles. The only new ip this gen that can be considered a mega hit is uncharted. Also it's true that sony has better first party support but Microsoft has always made sure that they had games in every genre this gen. I don't think they are lacking anything except maybe a quality platforming game.
You have a point about blu ray. And lastly yes GT5 will be big and I will probably buy it day 1 but it has been 5+ years since GT 4 was released so it should be big. And many people like me have already experienced 2 solid Forza games on their 360. So are you going to penalize Microsoft for delivering solid racing titles and other games in a timely matter while sony has dragged their feet?
If you want possibilities for new titles from Microsoft Rare is known to be working on some games. Feelplus the developer who worked on Lost Odyssey is creating a new big budget jrpg for the system. Project Gotham Racing 5 has been rumored for a while. Microsoft has formed a team to go out and get exclusive games and partnerships from japanese companies like the monter hunter frontier deal from capcom. More games/partnerships could be announced at e3 or at the tokyo game show.
