I Completely agree with kowenicki. IF there was any affect at all im guessing it would be so minimal that it would completely not matter.
This is an example of why people say survey results don't mean anything.
You only given two options and if people are going to give an answer they are forced into one extreme or the other. People can leave comments but in the end if the results of your survey are published, the headline would state "60% of people believe GOW3 would have sold significantly more", yet this does not necessarily represent peoples real feelings on the topic.
If you are going to do a survey give options that cover the full spectrum of opinion and allow people to tell you what they really think.
