Which you prefer PS3 Trophies or 360 Achivements

Trophies 160 56.14%

Achivements 76 26.67%

Both 19 6.67%

I hate them 16 5.61%

I dont mind I go with the Flow 14 4.91%

Total:285

too many syncing trophies can be a real pain even if its for a few seconds, but hopefully in future updates we dont have to sync our trophies

Initially I didn't care much for either, but they've grown on me. I don't really care about the totals, but Trophies have helped me get more out of games than I once did. For example, the Trophies in Uncharted made me experiment far more with melee combat during my second playthrough, while during my first I stuck solely to shooting. The game ended up being more enjoyable as a result, as I forced myself to vary things up.

Other than that, I only like Trophies because of the ability to compare your progress in a game to that of a friend. They're a sign of how much time I've spent with the game compared to others, and they can often be a sign of how much each person enjoys each game. I like checking to see how somebody else compares to my 60% of Trophies earned in LBP, for example.

So far only one game has made me want to earn Trophies, and that is Demon's Souls, if only so I can say "Yeah, I Platinum'd Demon's Souls. ;)"

whether many of you agree or not but i see here is that trophies gives out more replay out of a game.

I prefer trophies because there are different levels which shows how much effort you put into your games.

I like how there is the platinum trophy but I wish there were more variety like achievements since some bronze are much harder than others yet they are all bronze while some achievements can be 10 or 15 or 20

I like the sound when you earn a Trophy more than Achievements; however, I like the points adding up more than I do collecting Trophies. So, on that note, I voted for both :P.

personally i'm not a trophy or achievement whore but i prefer the trophy system because of the levels. random numbers seem meaningless to me. i've had my 360 from launch and i've only amassed a little over 10k pts, while on PS3 i'm on level 12 with 829 trophies. i've seen many people like my brother who has over 1000 trophies and he's on level 12 maybe level 13 now.

it seems certain trophies have more significance to your level moreso then a high number.

Achievements auto sync, and there are achievments for every game. Trophies make better noises, but your trophy score always goes down for anygame that uses DLC. For example, it says I have 100% trophies on Uncharted 2 but when the DLC comes out it goes down to 83%

Achievements, cause they vary in point amount from 5-150 points, and I have a few pc games that crossover. Trophies are just a 4 point system.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Well, to begin with. They both suck... My gamertag isn't tied to my account that I actively game with, so it has ~19,000 less points then my main account has. And now I can't go on PSN anymore. So both of them are pretty useless to me. But since a lot of my favorite PS3 games don't even have trophies... Achievements ftw!
