Forums - Sony Discussion - Killzone 2 going 3D this “summer”

Killzone 2 will support 3D when the relevant PS3 Firmware releases later this summer, according to the latest episode of Qore.

The shooter was listed alongside a slew of other previously announced 3D titles, like LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD, Wipeout HD Fury and GT5.

The “3D Firmware” update is rumoured to be hitting on June 10.

I'll probably be able to afford to play the game in 3d in 2015 then! Not bouncing off my new hdtv :)

3D TV is almost same price as high end HDTV,,,around 2 grand or so.

It's cool but how can they support 3D with Killzone2 that already takes almost full advantage of the PS3 power? Doesnt it need to output the game with double the framerate (one for each eye) to create a 3D experience?

Yes but having bought an hdtv in June 09, I won't be looking on upgrading just now.
