Hello, I know most of the guys and girls here at VGChartz love making predictions, so do I. I see various predictions all over the place and thought to myself: well, it's very nice to see hundreds of predictions scattered across the forum, but I barely see the results of such predictions, or I have to look real hard to find who predicted what and what come of it. That's why I'm making this thread. You can post your prediction in here and when the results are in, you edit your post giving the outcome of the prediction you made. Let me start:

Super Mario Galaxy will sell 2 million copies in the U.S. 'till December 31st.

PS3 will outsell Xbox360 worldwide for December 2007.

DS will have bigger overall sales in Japan then ps2 by the end of march 2007.

Mario galaxy will be December’s biggest seller worldwide. (tough guess)

I keep a file with links to threads I made predictions at, and sometimes go back and see the status of those predictions. Here are the current open ones:

1- In 'Others', The Wii will surpass the 360 between November 15 and December 15

2- End of 2007 worldwide current-gen consoles sales:

Wii: 18.5-21 million
360: 15.5-17.5 million
PS3: 7-8.5 million

I previously had some predictions regarding the timings of 360/PS3 price cuts, but most failed miserably due to Sony's bold measures. I also had a conditional prediction of < 6.5 million PS3s sold by the end of the year without price cuts, which I still feel would have happened if the condition was true. The 40 GB PS3 model is also selling better in Europe than I had predicted (I thought sales would fall without the 60 GB model with BC), but I still have to wonder how much better sales would be in Christmas if that model existed.

I'm hoping for a better search feature so I can find all my old crazy predictions...or that somebody will haunt me with them :)
