I would say that Heavy Rain is visually uneven, even jarringly so at points. In fact I think even CGI has admitted this to a certain extent. If it wasn't for ME2 this would be my GOTY so far, but this is a perfectly legitimate criticism of the game.

Yeah...it looks amazing during some sequences..other times it's just, meh.

Nothing stops the pseudo "experts" on this and other forums from ripping into screenshots and leaked off-screen video from some event. At least this guy is an expert, and wouldn't watching a video actually give you a better idea of the entirety of the look of the game, as you're not focusing on just the action you're trying to accomplish? I'm not saying every thing he say is just fine I'm just saying let's stop for second before be pull out the ROFLles and pitchforks.

Yep he is an expert. But let's take a moment and think why this guy would downplay another game he hasn't even taken for a spin yet. Base ones criticism off of videos on the internet? Doesn't sound like an 'expert' to me. More like PR by downplaying another game that has been recieved very well by critics and fans alike. I think it's just laughable :)
and make no mistake, AW is the ONLY game of the xbox line up this year that has me interested, so this is not about the game. I haven't played it to give a good verdict yet I do not qualify to critic it

Heavy Rain will be old news by the time Alan Wake is released. A new game or a 3 month old game? Hmmmm.
Both Heavy Rain and Alan Wake look visually impressive. Small nit picking over minor issues with games. It is all just personal opinion.
