I totally predicted correctly that Chrono Trigger's sequel would involve dimension traveling... but the sequel to that? What's left?

The Chrono Series is one of my absolute favorites, but frankly I think Square-Enix would just ruin the franchise like they have ruined all their other in house developed franchises, so no I don't want to see a sequel.

the thing about time travel is that it's essentially endless so a sequel could do anything really. the story line is up to the creators. and thats why both games had new game+ mode with so many different endings which made the replay value so high.

Anything in the Chrono name would need to be extraordinary or it wouldn't get released, it's that simple. I think they need to get the creative team behind Cross back for another go. Prequel or sequel, or just related in some way ala Cross to Trigger, I want more. It's been 11 years. It's about damn time.

Chrono Trigger is my 2nd favorite game of all time but not every game needs a damn sequel.

It could be one of the greatest games ever but it would still fail to live up to the nostalgia in peoples mind so it would always be seen as a failure.  Stop asking for sequels and remakes, ask for new games.

one thing i liked about cross was that it was really it's own game with a few references to chrono trigger in it that were pretty awesome.

btw how do you do a prequel with time travel? they already went to 65000000000000BC lol
