Forums - Sony Discussion - GT review of uncharted

I still remember Jax and Daxter that was pretty short 8-10 hours but Jax 2-3 were a lot longer.

Interesting point, also God of War 2 only took 2 years to complete instead of 3 while improving on the original, so much of the early development effort may be geared towards getting the game engines up to spec for this generation, with sequels they can much more focuss on adding more to the original concept and have a better understanding of the potentials.

The devs at Naughty Dog said they really spent too much time creating and optimizing their engine in the early stages of development.

Now that they have the engine fully working, (which took a lot of dev time) it's logical that a sequel to Uncharted could be much longer.

@Konnichiwa- As I said, it's a standard GT review. If it leaves you saying "what the hell?" that's normal. :)

I was hoping they would've gone more down the non-linear exploration and puzzle solving, than have the game dominated by shooting. I 'hope' GT was way off the mark.

I hate the idea that every game has to have MP. I'll gladly give up some half-baked MP bullshit to get a better SP experience. Uncharted is the best game I've played this year with the possible exception of Portal. Yes, I think Uncharted is better than Bioshock. Sue me.

The reviewer said some really, really dumb things about the game... made me wonder if he was paying any attention at all... and what's with showing stuff from the final stages? Spoiler much?

yeah ti was a liitle bit of a spoiler, and i agree not all games need multiplayer

Very nice for Uncharted... I think it should have gotten a 9, at the least though
