Forums - Sony Discussion - No Sony developer lives up to the Polyphony standard

No SONY Dev takes as much time to put out one damn game as PD... seriously...

If Insomniac releases a game this year that makes 5 full PS3 games and a PSN game. In this same time all PD has done is 1 PSP title and a demo.

Even if we consider that PD has 110 Employees while Insomniac has 195, the difference is still huge since Insomniac has put out more than 3 times the content.

The sales per employee per year are still higher than Insomniac. GT5 will outsell every single Insomniac game released thus far including Resistance 3 so thats more like double the productivity.

Where did you see the 120FPS 3D?

I think I saw it in an interview relating to GT5 3D, can't begin to recall where though.

No surprise to me. I've heard that the guy in charge of Polyphony is a perfectionist.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

I think PD's standards are good for racing games but pointless or unreachable in many other genres

Polyphony is like Blizzard. They keep pushing their projects but release amazing games.

Team Ico.

I live for the burn...and the sting of pleasure...
I live for the sword, the steel, and the gun...

- Wasteland - The Mission.

Donty you mean polyphony digital are the best devs out of all the whole gaming industry

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

and the reason why Team Ico is better lets see, they never stuck with one thing, PD is just about racers and its been that way since ever, both of their leaders are perfectionists , but Yamauchi only done one genre and the scale wasn't as big as what Ueda did , heck none of the games he made reached that much awards as Ueda's games.

if Yamauchi is a perfectionist , Ueda is Perfect itself.

Again inferior to Polyphony.

However, the game has been negatively criticised for its erratic frame rate, which is usually smooth while traversing the landscape, but often slows down in fast-paced situations, such as colossus battles.[7] Concern was also expressed about the game's camera, which was described by GameSpy as being "as much of an opponent as the Colossi", "manag[ing] to re-center itself at the worst and most inopportune times"

Compromising gameplay for graphical marvels makes one inferior to Polyphony.

*slurp*

OT: The 120FPS thing is pretty cool if it's real. Except I'm not gonna get a 3D TV it's nice to know for people who want it.
