I haven't had any issues with it so far, then again, I am just on chapter 4, (played for a few hours after getting off work) about to play again. Was surprised there was a 200+ meg update the day after it was released though lol

OK - I may have remembered this wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that there were virtually no load times?  Is that true, or was it the opposite?  As I am waiting literally minutes after some chapters for example:
After the first shelby chapter I waited literally 2-3 min after it ended for the next chapter to start, is that normal?

The only load times I have had are between chapters where you see close-ups of the character's face. The longest it has lasted me is half a minute.

Maybe its good i am not getting the game right away so all of these problems can be resolved first.

Game just froze on me *sigh* 20 min wasted on that chapter :(

What PS3 do you guys have that are having issues? I have the 40GB version

Played the game today with the patch installed. There were some minor framerate issues during the first post-prolouge scenes with your son when he was doing a scripted event and I was freely moving around. Haven't seen anything since then though.

Even then it wasn't game breaking or even old school down. It was like the game dropping from 30fps to 20fps

They aren't going to patch the voice acting or the writing, so you could just roll the dice and give it a try.  I was playing through again yesterday, and started noticing more graphics issues, but moreso I started noticing more things wrong with the story and how little actual impact you have...  I may be trading it in when I pick up FFXIII.
