Forums - Gaming Discussion - Medal of Honor confirmed for July-September 2010

EA just said that both Realtime Worlds MMO-shooter APB and EALA’s Medal of Honor will hit in its Q2 2011, or, to normal people, July-September 2010.

The news was released as part of the first’s Q3 fiscal statement.

APB was most recently pegged for a “spring” release. Just goes to show.

The Medal of Honor news will delight shooter fans. Looks like the game may well make it out before Treyarch’s next CoD.

EA also said tonight that Crysis 2 and a Need for Speed game will release in it Q3 next year.

If that wasn’t enough, the publisher’s confirmed, in addition, that Dead Space 2, “Dragon Age Title TBA”, “Shooter from Epic TBA”, “Need For Speed Title TBA” and “Action Title TBA” will all ship between January-March 2011.

I hope this series can make a comeback.

That seems odd... I would have assumed November, maybe they are trying to get the jump on Treyarch's CoD?

So EA's fiscal Q2 2011 is calander Q3 2010? Wow. If I started a company we'd be in Q5 2036 right now. Doesn't GAAP have something to say about your financial year?

Seems logical to me...they obviously want to avoid a release near CoD next.

Have you never noticed how M$'s fiscal year ends in June? EA's at least is the same as Sony and Nintendo with an end in March.... I agree it doesn't make any sense at all, why have fiscal years and calendar years?

nice, lots of good EA games coming

There are obviously a few missing, certainly FIFA etc, but hopefully something is happening with Mirror's Edge 2, and I don't want to have to wait too long for Mass Effect 3

I think they have offset fiscal years to have the more profitable periods during certain parts of their cycles. This allows them to "massage" their profitability numbers and be able to work the stock prices. Man has infinite capacity to work it's way around any system set up to hold it in.
