Was 3D a bad decision for the 3DS?

I think 3D is a potential game changer. In my opinion it adds a lot to the immersion and visual impression. BUT in its current form it feels a bit like a beta version. They need to find a solution for the narrow viewing angle. After playing for a while I find it increasingly hard to keep the 3D focus intact, it's not a relaxed way of playing. So basically, I love it, but its practicability...
