If only you knew that your manganese thread was popular again.

< Soriku posted something on g-value's wall:

Yeah, it's pretty good though I thought it felt somewhat like a fan fiction with all the characters fighting really. I hope Hibari wins lol.

    Where have you been ?

< spurgeonryan posted something on g-value's wall:

Skyward Sword is a very enjoyable game! You should pick it up if you like Zelda at all.

Finally had a reason to post in your Manga thread.

Yup, beat it already. 2nd favorite Zelda. Also, Xenoblade is coming to the US if you didn't know.

< Soriku posted something on g-value's wall:

Story and character wise, it's very good though not as complicated as Xenosaga. Main cast is much better than Xenosaga's, but the villains in Xenosaga are better. Good twists, especially near the end. Ending you don't see coming. I'd say Persona 4 and TWEWY had better stories this gen. The gameplay is where the game really shines besides the world. So much more improved from Xenosaga. Really fun during long and large battles, can get complex in a good way with the different gameplay systems like skill links and chain attacks, topple, visions, etc.. Last things is that the game rewards you for a lot of things whether it's EXP or armor and quick travel is a godsend. Only wish the game handled quests better since there's an insane amount and an unlimited inventory would be nice. The inventory thing is minor but the quest thing is in between. Anyway, great game, any RPG fan should play.

< Soriku posted something on g-value's wall:

I'd give it 9.2 or 9.3, pretty accurate with what the Metacritic score is for once (93). Overall I'd say it's the #2 game this gen, just behind Persona 4, though The World Ends With You is close (did you ever beat that?). I'd say it has the best world in a game ever, dethroning DQ VIII; very creative and beautiful as well as GIGANTIC and the seamlessness just adds. Music wise it's up there with top soundtracks (Persona 4, Baten Kaitos Origins, Digital Devil Saga 1/2, Devil Summoner 2, TWEWY).

< Soriku posted something on g-value's wall:

Yeah, beat it a little over a week ago at 157 hours or so.

< Soriku posted something on g-value's wall:

Oh, and quick travel is excellent. You can skip to any landmark in any location whenever you want (a few areas end up being closed off at points in the story though) which saves a lot of time, and would be stupid not to include something like this when the world is huge...

< Soriku posted something on g-value's wall:

Also there's 476 total quests though some of them are "split", meaning you can get 2 individual quests, but you can only choose to complete one of them and the other is then closed off and that changes NPC affinities one direction or another. I've done like 300 some which is why I'm 96 hours in and haven't finished the story.

< Soriku posted something on g-value's wall:

When people say the game is HUGE, it's 100% true. Every individual area (like Colony 9 is its own area, Bionis' Leg is another etc.) is entirely seamless. Going to the field in Colony 9 back to the town requires no load time whatsoever. Each area takes hours to explore. One huge example is Eryth Sea where swimming from one end to the other would take a ridiculous amount of time (which is why there's teleports) and swimming from island to island is like 10 mins without running speed gems. So sometimes the game feels TOO big, but not all the time. None of the areas are linear either. There's many different places you can go and find.

< Soriku posted something on g-value's wall:

Characters are likable and, for the most part, they don't seem out of the story except Riki kind of. What I mean is that during some story segments in games, some characters literally say nothing and it feels like they're out of place (Xenosaga was like this). Not really the case here which is good. Story...I'm far into the game but the story hasn't gotten crazy just yet but will soon. But so far it's good, not great. Still some stuff that needs to be explained.

I'm 96 hours in and haven't beat it yet. I like it a lot. The battle system is very good, exciting, and there are some good systems in place and can get pretty deep with the affinity and skill link stuff (you'd understand what I mean if you played it). All the characters are pretty good battle wise. Music is great but you know that.

< Soriku posted something on g-value's wall:

So I got Xenoblade. Pretty good so far and HUGE. When are you getting a Wii?

< spurgeonryan posted something on g-value's wall:

Have you played Xenoblade? I have not or I would post in your thread.

< Soriku posted something on g-value's wall:

Nope :P You should give up. Btw did you play FF XII? Definitely one of the best FFs.
