Dude, as a giant Stephen King fan, I have to say that you have the coolest avatar in the world. That's just awesome. Hahaha. Are you a huge Stephen King fan too?

Yeah man I read IT at least once a year for tradition. I watched the movie when I was 9, and it scared me so bad I had nightmares for weeks. Then I read the book as a Freshman in HS, and have read it once a year since. It had such an impact on my life. He's the reason I got into horror. I now have over 1,000 horror movies! My other favorites include Desperation, The Stand, The Shining (though the movie is better, sorry Stephen), Dolores Claiborne, Insomnia, Pet Sematary, Duma Key, Everything's Eventual, etc. etc. You?

AWESOME. Yes, IT really is an amazing book. Worthy of the annual re-reads. Very cool. Stephen King is definitely my favorite author, I've read everything of his. Didn't really get into him until 2009 (the stuff I read as a child scared me soooo bad I was afraid to go back until I was older). In fact, I loved reading Stephen King so much that he inspired me to start writing myself and I've been doing that since December of 2009. Your favorites are a lot like mine: Man do I love Everything's Eventual. Insomnia is one of my favorites as well. And I really enjoyed Joyland last year. In short, I've read everything the man has written and released and there's little I didn't really really enjoy. :)

The Xbox 360 Was Probably the Best Engineered Video Game Console Ever

in Gaming Discussion 2 days ago

Dr.Henry_Killinger said:Hell no. Even with out the RROD, which already invalidates it, many things where fished out of the normal sku which was why I got PS3 first. WiFi, HDD, HD-DVD, eww no thanks. For me its clearly the GameCube, followed by the OG Xbox, then the PS2 PS2 to me was poorly designed: - overly complicated architecture - only 2 controller ports - no ethernet port -...

It's close, but there are a few major problems with it: a) RROD of course b) DVD drive.... should've used a proprietary disc that could hold up to 20GB since HD DVDs weren't ready yet. Should have used the special coating Blu-Rays did as well (to help prevent significant disc scratches, which many consoles initially caused as well) Other than those yeah it was a well designed console....

Department of Education Believes Video Games are the Future of Learning

in Gaming Discussion on 13 April 2015

I always felt like Kinect (and even the Wii to a certain extent) were wasted opportunities in terms of educational games. However, I believe the health genre and the educational genre are the next "blue ocean" video games. Nintendo is focusing on quality of life products. If Nintendo combines the QOL products with an educational product then there is a chance Nintendo can get back some of that...
