    So, how are you doing?

Ultra busy. Taking care of the Child of Light, along with my own (yet unborn) one.

    on 18 April 2014

    Child of Light?

    Isn't that Ubisoft's new proyect? :O

I assume your unborn child is your proyect xD

    on 18 April 2014

    both correct :)

I'm guessing you're hyped to the max for DS2? :D

I already have it - and started it - for reviewing!

    on 13 March 2014

    What? HOW?!

    My copy comes tomorrow!

    on 13 March 2014

It's a promo code. We need to get it in advance, so reviews can be ready near official launch.

    on 13 March 2014

    That's...THAT'S UNFAIR!

    Loving it so far? :D

    on 13 March 2014

Purely awesome! A bit easier, a lot more matured. I think it's the perfect evolution of the game.

    on 13 March 2014

    Mature in what sense?

    on 13 March 2014

It's hard to explain in a few lines... It's more atmospheric and story driven. It now has a learning curve, it does not throw the player in deep waters from the very start. It tries to appeal the unitiated without sacrificing much in terms of difficulty, while giving a more full RPG-ish experience.

    I hope it helped.

    on 13 March 2014

Well, it seems Dark Souls 2 borrows a lot of ideas from Demon's Souls. Demon's had a learning curve as well (if we exclude the tutorial boss), especially since the world was fragmented into different stages. I don't like that it appeals to the unitiated, but yet again, I've read it is rentless and brutal, so I don't mind if the beginning is softier than Souls's standards.

Also I've heard that Dark Souls 2 has a central hub, like in Demon's souls, but with the open world of Dark Souls. So far what I've read seems to make DS2 the definitive, ultimate game (and at the end of consoles lifespawn, no less! What a beautiful swan song).

Can't wait to pick up my copy tomorrow!

    on 13 March 2014

I agree with the last paragraph. DS2 allows fast travel from the very beginning. It gives only one Estus flask, but many life gems (similar to herbs in Demon's). It cuts your life in half when undead, but provides a restoration ring right after the first boss! Amazing.

    So do you have it?

    on 14 March 2014

Yes, but I'm pretty angry with the retail store that gave it to me, so I've not played it yet. You see, Spain was supposedly getting a unique version of Dark Souls 2 if you pre-ordered it. I did, but it just come today that they gave me the normal version instead, and the special version is very limited and you can only access it through pre-orders.

So curse my luck. No way I'm getting one now.

    on 14 March 2014

The steelbox, instead of the normal Black Armor image all over it, would have that one instead.

    on 14 March 2014

Just enjoy it. In my experience, in-game items offered in special editions, rarely prove to be useful or make any difference, for that matter. Get to it ASAP. The euro servers are onlive finally, so I can get to check the online features. Who knows, we might get to fight together.

    on 15 March 2014

Exclusive pre-order content is rubbish, in my opinion. Talk about ripping off your fanbase.

The thing is, the steelbox for preordering is exclusive to Spain, done by Arzpirel (Or something like that), a guy who used to draw the covers of 8-bit games back in the eighties, when Spain was the first producer of software gaming-related media of Europe. That's nostalgia right there :(

    on 09 February 2014

I see. Your taste agrees with me, though and I like Giamatti. I put it on the list, while I check what our editor says about it.

    Looking forward Playstation Now?

Not at all. I'm just watching from the distance. It's where evolution goes and I want to be there, on its first steps. Fathom the way it evolves, perhaps.

    on 20 January 2014

If you want to be there, it implies you are looking forward it. At least, how it develops itself!

    on 20 January 2014

No. Let me put it in another way... It's something inevitable, like the discovery of nuclear power. I don't like its coming, but I'm a part of the gaming world and I can't miss the next step. So, I want to watch it closely. See if it evolves into a breathtaking discovery, or a world-shattering bomb.
